Spanish I - This course is covered over a two year period in grades 7 & 8. Units 1-4
are covered in grade 7. Units 5-8 are covered in grade 8 after an intense review of Units 1-4. Term grades will
consist of Classwork, Oral Participation, Homework, Oral and Written Language Lab, Special Assignments, Quizzes and Tests.
Extra Credit will also be offered with each lesson.
Exploratory Spanish - This class will focus on a text called Spanish Is Fun.
This course will cover basic Spanish vocabulary and grammar. Students will still learn Spanish I content, but not as
in depth. Term grades will consist of Classwork, Oral Participation, Limited Homework, Oral and Written Classwork,
Notebook, Special Assignments, and Quizzes. Extra Credit will also be offered with each lesson.
Pathways Latin and the Roman Empire - This course examines the benefits of learning
Latin to enhance the learning of English and French or Spanish. The course also discusses many of the events that took
place during the Roman Empire from its rise to its fall. Grades will consist of written exercises completed in class.
